Austin, TX – October 19, 2020
Initial deployment of CognitOps’ Align platform at Medline’s Rialto, CA distribution center, to deliver labor and fulfillment planning, flow management, advanced predictive analytics and exception forecasting.
CognitOps announced today that Medline, a healthcare company and the largest privately-held manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies in the U.S., will conduct an initial deployment of the CognitOps Align warehouse planning and execution platform in its Rialto, CA distribution center. Upon successful results, Medline would continue to scale across other branches in its nationwide network. The CognitOps Align platform enables Medline’s industry-leading operations team to leverage machine learning and simulation-based tools to drive labor force planning and balancing, workflow optimization, and to predict and prevent fulfillment exceptions before they occur.
Medline operations’ core values include exceeding customers’ expectations every day, achieving exceptional service levels, and continuous innovation. As a part of its constant drive for innovation, Medline selected CognitOps to empower its warehouse operators with inside-the-warehouse forecasting, prescriptive analytics, and predictive exception notifications.
“We envision the CognitOps Align platform supporting our ongoing strategy to exceed our customers’ expectations by reducing order cycle time and total processing time,” said Daniel Schwartz, RVP of Engineering. “We hope the platform will be a meaningful way to further enhance our operational performance, and the strong cultural match between CognitOps and Medline makes us even more optimistic about the initial deployment.”
Medline’s highly advanced distribution centers include goods-to-person, autonomous mobile robotics, and multiple UOM picking and fulfillment strategies. Combined with extremely tight fulfillment windows and distribution centers larger than 1 million ft2, operational management challenges are significant. CognitOps’ Align platform will simplify complex operations, guide operational decision making, and improve order fulfillment speed – powering Medline’s mission to be the market leader in healthcare, while improving patient care and the quality of peoples’ lives.
CognitOps is honored to have the opportunity to partner with Medline, one of the most sophisticated operations and engineering teams in North America”, said Alex Ramirez, CEO. “Our platform will continue to position them as the leader of healthcare fulfillment. We are committed to driving significant business value, and being a highly committed partner.”
